We are…Treasures by the Tide!

We are a Midwest Mother and Daughter duo handcrafting one of a kind beach glass and driftwood statements that inspire the mermaid within.

How we started -

We first started collecting a few pieces of beach glass years ago which started our journey to find out how to give it a second life instead of sitting in a jar. A few handcrafted gifts to family and friends, small local markets, and a few jar fulls later we began to dream this would be something bigger for us.

We created Treasures by the Tide to represent our own creative and individual boho beachy styles - while being Eco-friendly. We only use genuine, naturally tumbled beach glass handpicked from the shores of Lake Michigan aka the 3rd Coast to create chic jewelry pieces designed to make a statement and driftwood art.

We find beach glass hunting an incredibly therapeutic activity and great way to spend time together! We love walking the 3rd Coast beach to clear our minds and when we find that rare treasure we are like “WO-LAH”! The first thing that comes to mind is what will we create with it. Is it frosted and shaped to be pendant worthy? Is it curved and bulky enough to create a bracelet? Then we imagine where it came from. Is from an old broken bottle, some fancy vintage tableware, or something from an old sunken ship? Beach glass hunting is totally addictive!!

One of a Kind Materials & Designs

We handpick every piece of beach glass, driftwood, and stones - only using genuine! All materials are locally source from the 3rd Coast, recycled and selected to elevate the beach glass we finds making unique and wearable art!

We pride ourselves for selling authentic/genuine beach glass - every piece is one of a kind, naturally tumbled and frosted over the span of decades by sand, rock, and water. The majority of our beach glass is from the 3rd Coast. The Great Lakes experience true tidal fluctuations caused by the gravitational pull of the sun and moon and larger variations are caused by wind and air pressure changes which creates our treasures. We are dedicated to go out to hunt every month out of the year from the 90 days in summer, to the below freezing days in winter, and all of the rainstorms in between.
